Chapter 29 - Here Comes The Bride

Mom was helping me get dressed, since she decided I was shaking too much to do it myself. We decided to go with normal wedding colors, only no dress. No matter how much Jinxx tried to convince me I stuck with a suit.
Mom held the white jacket against my back, checking for the thousandth time that it would be the right size. I held my arms out so she could check the sleeve length.
"Is your shirt buttoned right? No poping your collar either!" she fretted, making sure my buttons were right and fixed the collar again. I couldn't help but smile at her. She was crying with joy when I showed up at her house with the ring on my finger. He ran her hands over my cheeks, making sure no stubble came up.
"Mom I shaved half an hour ago." I said.
"I'm making sure." she replied. "I still don't see why you have to keep your god damn hair down."
"He likes my hair down."
Mom shook her head, still smiling. "I can barely remember when your hair was short."
"It was never short!" I giggled, brushing my bangs back into place.
She helped me into the jacket like a little kid. Left arm then right arm and spun me back around, doing the little dance we used to have. I smiled warmly again. She kissed my chin and buttoned the bottom over my black dress shirt.
"One more thing." she walked over to the flower vase that sat on a tale near the door. She broke the head off one of the white roses and tucked it in the coat pocket. "Perfect."
Three quick knocks came from the door. Mom looked through the peep hole then unchained the lock.
"Is CC in here?" Jinxx asked.
Mom opened the door completely, letting him in. He wore an almost identical suit, only it was black and white instead of white and black. A feather hung from the left side of his head.
"Jake's Dad and sister just showed up, I'm scared your dad is going to do something." he said nervously "I think Andy and Craig are with them."
Mom raised her eyebrows. "I was under the impression he was with Jake, and those two wern't coming."
"His grandpa and aunt didn't look too happy at their apearance either." Jinxx looked at me. "What do we do?"
"Why are you asking me? Its not like I can do much." I said "I'm the bride in this."
"I'll go, baby." Mom said, kissing me on the cheek. "I know how important this is to the both of you."
"Thanks Mommy!" I called as she left with Jinxx.
I turned around and looked in the mirrior. I looked alot different then I usually do, only eyeliner on, no facial hair execpt for a small curl under my chin. My mind wandered to what Jake was doing...
(Jake POV)

"I specifically told you I didn't want you here." I growled.
Dad, Savannah and her kid decided to show up now, half an hour before the wedding started. Dad was wearing an old brown dusty suit and a tie that looks like a couple of moths got to it while Savannah was wearing a red dress way too short for a church like this. The little one had a pink ruffly dress on and tap shoes.
"Why not?"
"Why not?!" I carefully pulled up my sleeve, showing a perfectly parallel bunch of scars. "Remember that? You broke a bottle over my arm. You were abusive. You almost killed me!"
Dad clenched his fist. "If you let me sit though this I won't bother you again."
I crossed my arms. "Convince me why you should."
At that moment Jinxx and Mrs. Coma came over. Mrs. Coma glared up at Mr. Pitts, her narrowing her eyes.
"Why are you here?"
Savannah rolled her eyes and opened her mouth to speak but dad elbowed her before she could. "Why am I here?"
"Yes."
"To see my son get married to your..." he gritted his teeth as he said the last word "son."
"Dad for fucks sake--"
"Alright." Mrs. Coma growled. "But if you ruin this wedding I swear to god, I will ring your neck with your own balls."
Dad nodded in what you can call understanding. He actually looked scared of her. Andy led them to their seats, burning a glare into both of them.

~

An hour later most of the guests had arrived. A camera was set up in back so the ceremony was Livestreamed to the army. All the groomsmen were dressed in similar outfits, my side in black and white, CC's in white and black. I stood next to the alter, which had an arch over it with black roses taped onto it. Beside me was a preacher's stand boring a brown and purple cloth.
People in the audience murmured to eachother, waiting for it to start. I shifted from foot to foot, messing with my hair slightly, looking around and everything to keep m from fainting. I looked to the back, seeing my Dad staring at me. His eyes emotionless. Savannah was bent over, saying something to her kid I didn't even know the name of.
The first key note of the organ silenced them, drawing out notes of "Here Comes The Bride". I turned to the entrance just as CC and his dad appeared in the isle.
He looked beautiful. The white and black suit fit him perfectly. His hair was neat and he looked happy. I could see how nervous he was in his eyes though. They walked slowly to the organ music, climbing the small velvet steps. CC stopped when he reached me, smiling shyly.
The priest man stood at the bible stand, raising one hand and speaking loudly. "We gather here today to celebrate the marriage of these two gentlemen." he said. "Two sprites, bound by love..."
I held eye contact with CC, we were both filled with joy. I barely paid attetion to the preacher, it was just us...
"Mr. Pitts, do you take Christian Coma as your lawful wedded husband, through sickness and health, poor and rich, happiness and sadness, 'till death do you part? If so, say 'I do.'"
"I do." I said, if possible, smiling more.
"Do you, Mr. Coma, take Jacob Pitts as your lawful wedded husband, through sickness and health, poor and rich, happiness and sadness, 'till death do you part? If so say 'I do.'"
"I do." CC replied, a tear forming in his right eye.
The preacher took out two golden rings, dropping one in my hand. I took CC's hand.
"Mr. Pitts, repeat after me." he said. "'with this ring, I be wed.'"
"With this ring, I be wed." I said, slipping it onto his finger.
CC took the ring from the preacher and held it to my finger.
"With this ring, I be wed." he said, sliding it onto my finger.
The preacher man held up his wrinkled arms. "I now pronounce you, of the State of California, husband and husband. May God bless your souls. You may kiss."
CC pressed his lips against mine, I dipped him down, supporting him with my right arm. The whole chapel applauded, echoing the claps around the large white room.
I broke off, smiling at my newly wed husband. He grinned stupidly back at me. "I love you Jakey."
"I love you too." I replied. "Looks like you're officially mine."
As a writer I had to give a corny last line.

Theres still an epilog! Don't lose interest yet, my dears.

I had a bit of trouble writing this, seeing as I've only been to...one...or two wedding in my life, both of them church weddings so I have no idea what normal weddings are like. Sorry atheists ._.

Normal weddings are pretty much the same, only not in a church and it's a Justice of the Peace instead of a priest
