I woke up, this time in the morning. The sun lit up my room and gave the creamy ehite walls a warm glow. I stretched my arms above my head, cracked every bone in my spine, then kicked off my blankets and got dressed. My normal routine.

As I was scribbling on eyeliner on my eyelids I checked my phone, using my free hand to unlock it. Another video message, untitled from CC. I finished my right eye and opened the message.

I was woken up by the sound of my phone buzzing, making an annoying tapping noise against the table where I left it. I rubbed my eyes, the room had gotten darker since I laid down and I could see stars start peeking out in the sky.

I reached over and grabbed my phone, a text from Jake.

"Andy, you gotta hear this dude" it said. Attached to the message was a video, the preview picture was a darkened picture of Ashley holding a guitar and looking down at it, playing it. I felt butterflies come to life in my tummy again as I opened it.

Rebel High chapter 5That afternoon I was in my room, laying chest down on the floor, staring at the wall. Most normal people would go do something when they're bored, like write or hang out with friends or masturbate or do something else, I just stare at walls and think about things.
